Ok, so as a new designer to the industry I am still adjusting to the fact that I have to have Fall 2010 samples ready by JANUARY???  I am dreaming of Summer and trying to focus on Fall…not to mention my entire inventory is coming in this week for Spring 2010 so get excited!!  We have decided to sell for a LIMITED TIME ONLY directly off of the website for those of you without a store in your area that carries Mustard Pie:)  The shopping cart should be up and running for your purchasing pleasure in the next few weeks.

More exciting news on the horizon is the Vogue Bambini March 2010 issue will be featuring one of our lovely ensembles in their magazine PLUS we will be a part of their fashion show at the ENK Children’s Club Show in NYC the weekend of March 7th!  This was pretty exciting news for me being so new to all of this.  I may not get to go to Milan for the photo shoot but my clothes do!  Send me a postcard;)

Ok…off of the corny path I was headed down and onto what you all are REALLY not interested in…the craziness that is my life.  For those of you who don’t know, my family and I packed up our entire house, stored everything in Pods and moved in with the inlaws for 4 MONTHS!  This was needless to say a bit stressful for ALL involved but it paid off because we are FINALLY in our new house and loving it!!!  McKenzie runs around like a maniac, which she did before but now has a bit more space to do so.  Taylor made his first attempt to crawl last night, at least forwards that is.  I know one thing, when he figures out how to do it we are in TROUBLE!  He NEVER stops moving.  It was the same way when he was in my belly CONSTANTLY moving and kicking.  We are in for a real treat!  But he is the sweetest little man in the whole world and melts my heart everytime he smiles at me with his two bottom tooth drooly smile;)

Now that we have basically unpacked and settled in I can FINALLY relax!!!!…no wait…My first spring ship date is Monday!!! Ahhh!!! Well, I hopefully I can relax in 40 years when all this craziness is a distant and beautiful memory…;)

Well LOTS of exciting things happening for Mustard Pie! Check out the most recent publication of Earnshaws magazine, pictured above, in which one of the most popular dresses of the Spring 2010 Mustard Pie line is featured in the “Pixel This” section! The Double layer polka dot halter dress is paired with the pink double ruffle leggings and is projected to be one of the hottest color combinations of the upcoming season! This is our first true press and has really caused a buzz because my phone has been ringing off the hook with PR companies and people wanting to help us get things going!

Another VERY exciting thing we have been invited to be a part of is the Posh Trends Suite Event in New York City following Fashion Week!  This is an exclusive event in which celebrities are invited to come and see our products and get the very first feel for the new trends of the season!

Also, the Mustard Pie Fall 2010 line is in full effect…  We started on sample production this week and it is AWESOME!  I can’t wait to see how it all turns out!  The fabrics are vibrant and full of life with plenty of girly accents in leopard prints and plush tulles.

Stay tuned for the announcement of when my Virtual Trunk shows will be held.  This will be a limited time for you to buy straight from the Mustard Pie site and the first one will be sometime in February so keep checking back often!

Ok so I finally have some LONG awaited information on where you will be able to get some Mustard Pie! Although there are many other boutiques who will be carrying the line, I wanted to let you all know that Mustard Pie will be available EXCLUSIVELY at Jilly Bean in Ladue, MO. as of February 2010!!  I will be hosting a trunk show there in February as well with some additional items that won’t be available in the store on a regular basis.  Please visit their website at www.jillybeanboutique.com !

So…to all of you loyal readers;) (Haha…I’m sure I don’t have those yet unless you are related to me;) Our first tradeshow went GREAT!!!  We got orders from many boutiques, mostly in the northeast.  We will also have one of our sets featured in the next issue of Earnshaws Magazine for Spring 2010 Color Schemes so check it out!

As for the questions pouring in about WHERE to get the clothes;) I will be posting the Boutiques who will be carrying the line by late November.  I am going to wait until we have all orders in and to production before I post that.  It is possible that we may be selling straight from the site in trunk show form for a limited time so keep checking back to see when the sale is on!!!

As for the rest of the craziness…On TOP of the trunkshow in NYC, we moved into our inlaw’s to wait for our house to be ready, closed down the cottage and…oh yeah squeezed in time to take care of the monkey and the little man!  (My toddler and 3 month old:)  It has been HECTIC to say the least!  Take a look at the hubby taking out the dock in FRIGID Michigan weather last weekend;)

Don’t you just love the cottage style GOGO boots?:) HAHA! It is sad to close up for the summer but we did stock up on some St. Julian Wine for the winter which will definately be needed!

Oh my goodness…do you ever feel like you are drowning and every time you get a breath above water a wave covers you over and you are once again gasping for air??? OK…a bit dramatic I’ll admit but I am just trying to explain how crazy life has been for me lately!! This weekend was spent packing up the home we have lived in for five years…this is where my husband proposed, where we came home as a married couple, where we got both of our dogs (Lucy and Stella) and where both of our children were born.  Not to mention first steps, first words, first EVERYTHING!!!  But, we are moving on to exciting things!!!  We will finally (hopefully) be moving into a house with a fenced yard (YEAH!!! when you have a very hiper toddler!!! and two adventurous dogs:) So it will be great but still sad to leave all of the memories behind:(

On a very exciting note…the show is in just 2 weeks!!!!  And all the photos of Mustard Pie Spring/Summer 2010 “AKA” Lemon Souffle are DONE!!! Of course, I have not seen them all yet and I feel like I am back in high school waiting for the boy I like to call me!!!  I can’t stop looking at my blackberry to see if my photographer had emailed me to let me know the pics are up for me to look at.  BUT…she did give me a few things to look at to wet the appetite so here you go….:)
